My name is Aruzhan Dauletkhan, and I’m from Astana, Kazakhstan. I was born and raised in Almaty, where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in “Foreign Philology (English)” from Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, graduating with Honors in 2020 and 2022. During my second year of undergraduate studies, I was an exchange student at the National University of Malaysia, gaining valuable cultural and linguistic experiences. Since 2019, I’ve been teaching English at various language schools in Almaty and Astana. I’m interested in the psycholinguistic aspects of acquiring English as a third language for Kazakh-Russian learners, particularly how cognitive processes and language development interact in multilingual settings and the challenges these learners face.
