I am a PhD student in the SLA program at UW-Madison. Prior to joining the program in 2024, I earned an M.S.Ed. in TESOL from University of Pennsylvania. I have experience teaching ESL and EFL courses to high school students and adults in both in-person and online settings.

My research examines the intersection of language, race, and power within educational contexts. I analyze how socio-historical factors uphold or marginalize linguistic norms, the effects of racialized linguistic hierarchies on multilingual learners, and the ways in which these hierarchies are perpetuated in classroom discourse and society. I critically interrogate the concept of language diversity in education and investigate the factors that (re)shape our language ideologies.
